The Staples show  (Bren is fired!)

The mistakes made by Bren and Alex could not be glossed over this week.  No interview with the customer? Alex should have been fired for that.

I'm kind of sorry to see Bren go, he seems like a great guy to have around. But, Trump decided he wasn't Trump material.

OK, I want to know your prediction of who is going to win The Apprentice. You get one guess. Winners will be announced at bodylanguagetalks.com when the apprentice is selected. You must have your pick in by Thursday (4/28) at lunch! I will announce mine then as well.

- Your Comments and Predictions:

"I am going to be a contrarian and pick Kendra. I agree that Trump wants someone who can lead. Kendra may be a bit weak there, but she is well-educated and I think if it came down to a boardroom showdown with her and Tana that she would be able to defend herself more eloquently than Tana. By saying that I don't mean to put down Tana. I know she is the one I would want working with me/for me. I just think Kendra may be scrappier. And when I see everyone else picking Tana, what do I have to lose?
Craig is a good entrepreneur. Alex is a smart guy. The women are putting them to shame.
We'll see how it goes,"
Joe Lowry, Jr.

"I'm voting for Tana to take it all.  She has maintained an unfailingly positive attitude, is a strong manager and hasn't made a mistake yet.  Unless she makes a major mistake in the end run, I think she'll be the next Apprentice."

Christine Larkin

"No Doubt About It - Tana."

Tim W.

"I just can't help it!  Street Smarts and from Des Moines (that's where I live!) plus she's doing a great job (except for the sleeping thing from episode 12). I have to say that she takes it all...I absolutely love this show. It has actually helped me realize that my ideas are good and thinking outside of the box is what's needed to succeed in today's business world. Too bad my mgr's can't get out of the box! Guess some change is due!"

Jerri Gregory

"I think Tana will win. Upbeat, relates well to many types of people, usually doesn't get sucked into negative conversations/arguments. Usually hasn't been the greatest contributor, but usually does her part. Then again, who knows what biases are pushed on the audience through all the editing."

Steve T.

"My prediction for the winner on The Apprentice is Tana."

Paul Sobczak

"I'm going for Tana.  Has the people skills from rappers to office managers to "people on the street".  It seems that everyone in the suite likes her and she has been the only one performing with consistency - whether PM or team player.  I'm forgiving not pulling the all nighter because we only see what editing wants us to see.  The team had worked together on the project until early morning laying the foundation for Kendra to finish the project.  Yes, Kendra was strong but her people skills have been grating - from the kiddie golf course to current.  Plus, pulling an overnighter occasionally and filming the Apprentice with grueling crunch work from day one are different."

Brenda Steely

"I believe it will be Tana. I have not watched the show much, but just from what I saw last Thursday, I believe it will be Tana."

Ruth Hunt

Tana will be the winner.

Best regards,

Paul Jepson

"I would hate to think that Alex has a chance at the apprenticeship. He has dropped the ball on numerous occasions, and could not believe he wasn't fired last week for creating a space for more clutter! By choice would be Tana, but she's gonna have to learn the skill of staying up all night! Any entrepreneur knows that all-nighters happen...that's why we get paid the big bucks!"

"I hope that Trump chooses one of the two women left. They can carry off more competence with their eyes closed than Alex has shown lately! But, I predict that Alex will get his "stuff" together and I think he will be the next Apprentice."

Jennifer Martin

"Although I think she dropped the ball last week, taking almost unfair advantage of her immunity, I believe Tana will be the chosen one!"

Kathleen Donaghy

How about that -- one of my early picks for the Final Four actually limped in. I'd be a lot happier about it if Alex were performing, but lately most of his energy seems to be devoted to covering his own butt. No new revelations this past week, or the one before. The team who offers the customer what they want wins. The team who offers what they think the customer should want loses. I'm still smarting a bit from American Eagle week, when Chris effectively took himself out of the task by wasting most of the production day hanging out at Best Buy to recover his lost credit card but somehow Angie got tagged with the loss. Did it occur to nobody that if Chris had been on hand to help with the work Angie might have been better prepared to present? Oh, well.

Alex had me babbling at the TV again. FOUR TIMES he's been part of a team that lost a task because they didn't deliver what the customer wanted, and yet he chooses not to have a face-to-face meeting with his customer. Trump has fired people before for that, remember? Alex should've been fired, and probably would've been if Bren had defended himself with any amount of energy.

So now we're left with Alex, Tana, Craig, and Kendra. In the previous seasons Trump has shown a strong tendency to hire people like himself: white, male, college-educated, authoritarian (more so Kelly than Bill). This time, though, I think he will choose against the grain and hire Tana. Tana has been a winner week after week. She has been in the final boardroom exactly once, in Week 4. She is undefeated as a PM and nearly undefeated overall. Alex, on the other hand, has been losing a lot. He's lost as PM, he's admitted to napping during crunch time (Tana's only real misstep, too, against all that success), and he's been in a lot of final boardrooms lately. He's making it easy for Trump to pick someone else.

I'll be very surprised if Kendra or Craig makes it to the final two. Kendra might in place of Alex; it depends on how the reduction is done. I suspect Alex will interview brilliantly, and while Kendra should also be good I just don't think she's as sharp as Alex or Tana. Craig's communication skills are so atrocious it amazes me that he's survived this long and I can't see him making the next cut. Go, Tana!"

Michael Raugh, CHt

Tana.

Stephen Trevarthen

"I'm staying with Tana as the new apprentice.

Either Bren or Alex could have been fired this week.  I thought Alex should have been fired for being so lazy by trying to do all the work over the phone.  Team Magna was a clear winner as soon as they met with the Staples people and did their customer surveys.

I think the final 2 candidates will be Kendra and Tana.  Tana seems to be a better leader.  Kendra performed impressively in week 12 but didn't lead her team well at all.  She couldn't motivate them to pull an all nighter.  Trump is looking for a leader and not someone who fly's solo."
