The
T-shirt show
(Alex is fired!)
Alex got fired because he "lied"
about his win loss record...or he maybe really
forgot. In fear situations deception can be a
simple evolutionary response. It can keep you
alive and it often happens without conscious
thought. Alex was probably the victim of his
reptilian brain talking 1/2 second prior
to his prefrontal cortex saying, "what
the hell did you say that for?"
Right or wrong, it's impossible to believe he
didn't know how he had done as project
manager.
Tana should have been fired. Marketing is so
many times more valuable than product creation
in business. Most people can create a product.
Only a rare few have the creativity and wisdom
and willingness to work to sell it beyond one
on one. Tana, I like her a lot. But she is a
one to one person. She thinks in terms of one
and yes she's nice, but that's not why she
wouldn't make a good executive for Trump, she
probably WOULD, it's because she can't think
creative marketing which means she is screwed
in nonpersonal face to face selling
situations.
Craig would be an utterly worthless executive.
He is a personal jerk, BUT he has created TWO
products (Home Depot and Staples) that won AND
have now been nationally advertised. SOMEONE
should hire this guy because he can create the
product that someone else can market. That is
a rare talent.
That brings us to Kendra. I don't know why I
like her. She is a bit annoying but she was
the only one of the four to stay up all night
and pull an all nighter. I've never met anyone
successful in business who didn't pull a
lot of all nighters. Craig, Tana and Alex
failed to be able to stick it out on their
respective tasks a few weeks ago. Kendra had
drive.
She also came up with the idea to market to
the artists celebrity base and not try and
sell an artist to people walking on the
street.
She is inexperienced, rough around the edges,
and when Craig gets creamed in the job
interview segment next Thursday (and she might
as well) that leaves it to the two women. In a
small business, I'd take Tana in heartbeat.
She thinks precisely as a successful small
business person has to think. She is nice.
Nice is square one for a successful small
business person. She adapts to a wide range of
situations very well. She is talented. But she
can't think "big", her only
drawback.
Kendra would have a hell of a time surviving
in Tana's business. She is not a one to one
person. But she is smart, she is creative, she
has drive and though the odds makers must have
Kendra at 10:1 against, and Tana as odds on,
maybe 1:2 even, I think I would pick Kendra
for Trump and put her through a very intense
training process. She is the kind of person in
five years who Trump would love to have
working for him. Tana is the most talented of
the three but she is a one on one person and
superb at what she does. Not likely to enjoy
organizational structure.
Will Trump see it the way I do? Maybe not.
Philosophically he and I are on the same page
but could easily choose Tana. She's hard not
to like. I think Trump will see the next step
though and pick Kendra.
Kendra
wins in the biggest upset in TV history."

- Your Comments and Predictions:
"My
guess for the winner would have to be Kendra.
Although I don't feel she is a solid, reliable
leader for Donald, she has definitely
stepped up her game the past few weeks and
that is a mark of a winner.
Episode 14 was
quite an interesting one. One of the
things that stuck in my mind was that the
Net Worth team did no marketing... relying
on pulling people in from the street?
Something I would expect from a university
student, not successful entrepreneurs.
Coming this far and then making such a huge
mistake is quite shocking to me.
Did anyone else
catch Tana's brilliant move in the
boardroom? I have to give her credit,
the way it looked, she was going to get
canned... Donald was basically slamming her
left and right until she gave her monologue
about her successful businesses and how bad
she wanted the job... at that exact point
there was a massive shift in Donald's
attitude towards her, you could see.
Then, while he was still at the high, she
slipped in one little comment that kept her
alive... the comment about Alex's record.
From that point on it was evident that Alex
was going to be sent packing. He tried
a monologue of his own but for a lawyer it
was a little lacking... "i have fire in
my belly" I enjoyed that line, it was
hilarious.
All in all, a
great episode. I have much respect for
Kendra, she's a fighter. The other
two are weak IMO with Tana probably
being the second strongest though."

"I see Kendra winning. She's smart and
trainable. I think she would do well in
the trump organization."

"While Tana is a popular choice (and one
that I would hire), Kendra has both the
credentials and fire that Trump looks for in his
candidates."

"I see Tana
as the winner! She is sharp, confidant,
smart, and is a strong leader. I hope
she wins & does well in her new job.
I myself
understand the juggle act of running my own
company, family & keeping a close
eye on the goal of day to day operations
of life. I can't imagine not doing
what I love personally & professionally. I
myself is "street smarts."
Having a tough up bringing gives me the fire
and drive to succeed in anything that I do.
When I started my company 12 years ago,
everyone said "don't do it!" I
love hearing no, because it just makes me work
harder. I have been told that I handle dead
lines, obstacles and many tasks as once well.
I think that Tana
will be a asset to the Trump organization.
Good luck! You go girl!"

"My opinion; Fri.,
4/29
With cookie-cutter
possible winner Alex eliminated, I've got to go
with Tana. It's clear that App. 3 will go
to a woman or a minority --duh -- but what is
the Don and Mark Burnett going for: 1st
Black winner or 1st Woman winner. Tana has
had the most very favorable exposure -- she
looks like a corporate P.R. person -- I would
gladly take orders from her. No offense to
Craig...but, "at the end of the day"
[previously the most often quoted "ad
lib"] he isn't extroverted enough.
And Kendra, her overall charisma is similar to
my cousin's in Springfield.....We'll seeeeee....."

"Kendra
outperformed everybody this week, no question. But
Kevin, I don't think Trump can choose her for the
big job. Tana thinks small? Maybe. But in her own
way, so does Kendra. Let's go back to the brochure
task. Well before Tana and Craig
"abandoned" her, Kendra had already cut
them out of the creative process. Kendra did a
lousy job communicating her big idea, shot down
all input from her teammates, and when faced with
the resulting morale problem she basically said,
"Fine, I don't need you anyway, I'll finish
it myself." Thinking doesn't get much smaller
than that. Her approach to the T-shirt task was
exactly the same, and her response when called on
it was equally infantile.
So we have two good
but flawed candidates (because it seems we're
unanimous that Craig will be shredded in the
interviews): Tana, who lacks vision but works well
within a team and has good leadership and human
relations skills; and Kendra, who is creative and
committed but has trouble getting others to buy
into her vision and pouts in the face of dissent.
I don't think there's a wrong choice here. It's
just a matter of which fault Trump finds more
daunting. I'd take Tana's maturity and work with
her on looking at the big picture."
Michael Raugh
"Oh man. My
prediction was wrong. Alex did not pull his stuff
together. But that's okay because I really wanted
one of the women to get the top spot. Kendra is
looking more and more sure..."
